Sterling Melcher is an interdisciplinary artist, currently based in Minneapolis, MN; born in TX, raised in CA, educated in MN, CT, and PA. He is a graduate from St. Olaf College with a BA in Theater, received a certificate from the National Theater Institute's Advanced Director Semester, and has an MFA in Devised Performance from the Pig Iron School in Philadelphia. His work is a collision of practices from performance, visual arts, absurd & post-human philosophy, and the hard sciences. In 2018 he co-founded Tree.Lock//Productions, a multi-disciplinary production company that utilizes emerging technologies as creative inspiration. His work has been produced in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and New York City.
